The Big Green Egg 2XL is the largest Big Green Egg in the range. Not only is it the very largest barbecue in the Big Green Egg family, it is also the largest available kamado (the type of barbecue) in general. Weighing a whopping 170 kilograms, standing almost 1 metre tall (without IntEGGrated Nest base) and with a cooking area of almost half a square metre, the Big Green Egg 2XL is an impressive sight, which has earned it the nickname 'EGGzilla'.

Despite its size, the Big Green EGG 2XL is as easy to use as the other Big Green Eggs, including a lid that moves easily. With the addition of an EGG Nest base with wheels and possibly the Nest Handler, the Big Green Egg 2XL is also easy to move around. The 2XL size is ideally suited for professionals, think of use for catering or in a restaurant. But large families or groups of friends will also enjoy using the 2XL.

The Big Green Egg 2XL weighs 170 kilograms. By comparison, that's heavier than two washing machines. However, when the Big Green Egg 2XL is mounted on the IntEGGrated Nest base, it is easy to move or turn. So you can always place the Big Green Egg 2XL in the right position in relation to the direction of the wind, for example. Preferably use a Nest Handler for better grip and safety. Moreover, thanks to the spring-assisted hinge, the heavy lid is easy to open or close.
